Hei! My name is Leon, and I am the owner of the Strategic Nuclear Moose. Beginning as a lowly editor at The Vault, I eventually became an Administrator of Nukapedia, where in a fit of creativity, I decided to get the Fallout community together through a conglomerate of community features hosted within a hub of sorts - thus, the Strategic Nuclear Moose was born as a simple blog.
As our once modest cantina grew and grew, we eventually felt restricted by our host's limitations, and I decided to move the community to our new home here! My vision is to see the Moose run by the community, making me ultimately obsolete. But as I wait for that day, I remain excited to see others join our community - just as passionate as I am, so that one day, we can hold our heads up high as the number-one community hub to frequent for anything and everything sci-fi/apocalyptia-themed!
My name is Chris (Of course) and I am currently a moderator on Nukapedia. I have been active in the community there since April of 2011, when I made my account and my first edit. From April 2012, I was active in the chat room almost every day, and made several new friends. I have been playing the Fallout series since the release of Fallout 3 and started using the Fallout Wiki back when it was the Vault hosted on Wikia around the time the Fallout 3 DLC The Pitt was released. I used the Wiki to find new things I overlooked throughout the game, and gained interest in the previous games of the series and read about those as well. After the two Wikis split, I was conflicted about which Wiki I would chose to go with, but ultimately decided to stay on the Wiki being hosted on Wikia as most of my friends had remained there. In August of 2012, the community voted for me to become a chat moderator on Nukapedia. Since then, I have been very active in the chat almost every day, and I'm always meeting new people and making new friends. When Leon proposed the Strategic Nuclear Moose so long ago, I enjoyed some of the features the old site had to offer. But, it never really kicked off and not too many people used it. Eventually, people seemed to forget about it. Recently, the Moose has been revived with many new features, a better user interface, and new people are joining every day. When Leon mentioned bringing back the Moose, I was happy to volunteer to do what I could for the Moose to bring it back and give members of Nukapedia, the Vault, and many other gaming communities the opportunity to connect. So, as an administrator and community ambassador here at the Strategic Nuclear Moose, I will strive to make sure people have a nice, friendly place to chat and discuss whatever they please
